A set of ten Solomon Islands half-dollars commemorating 50 years of the moon landing. These often sell for £20+ per coin; this is a set of ten all in capsules, all in great condition. The face side is the head of Queen Elizabeth II, the reverse is a range of coloured iages of important peoople and images from the space race. In addition are included two commemorative gold coloured tokens commemorating Kings and Queens of Britain, one being Richard the Lionheart, one being Henry V, a lightweight commemorative token or medal of Queen Elizabeth’s coronation, and a “reproduction” silver dollar of curiously magnetic material, dated 1847 and stamped from the Carson Ciry mint (which didn’t exist in 1847). A nice little curio to have though.
